Services

Q: What services do you offer?

A: Currently, we are assisting with food, clothing, household items, diapers and medical equipment. We offer chaplain services, medical services, education services and employment assistance. We continue to build on our 22 branches and hope to serve each one fully to the community.

Q: How can I get services?

A: Call 561-656-5601 for more information and to make an appointment for services.

Q: How do you qualify someone to receive services?
A: The Tree of Life Resource Center is a “No questions asked” organization. Meaning, if you come to us for services, we will serve you at your scheduled appointment.
Q: How many people do you serve?
A: Currently, we are serving 500 families a week.
Q: Why do I have to have an appointment to receive services?
A: We have appointments because we do not want anyone to have to stand in a long line outside waiting. We also do not want to impede on our neighboring businesses. It is very important that you feel dignity and respect when coming to us for services and the appointments allow us to do that. We are only a staff of four so, it is very difficult for us to juggle 500 families a week without the appointment system in place.
Q: Are there any restrictions or things I should know before coming?

A: The Tree of Life Resource Center is by appointment only. Please do not show up without an appointment. You can easily make an appointment by calling 561-656-5601. Failure to show up to your appointment can result in suspension of services.

There is a limit of 10 items per household in our clothing and household room.

If you are caught stealing from the Clothing and Household room, it will result in immediate termination of services.

We ask that everyone treats the Clothing & Household room with care and respect. Misuse, damage, or inappropriate behavior in this area will lead to a temporary suspension of services.

Q: I know someone that could benefit from services at the Tree of Life Resource Center. Can I tell them about you?

A: Absolutely! Have them call 561-656-5601 for more information and to make an appointment for services.

Q: How do people find out about the Tree of Life Resource Center?
A: The Tree of Life Resource Center is listed with Palm Beach County’s 2-1-1 Helpline. We also work with various partner organizations and case managers. Another way is “word of mouth” through the current families that we serve.
Q: What kinds of food do you distribute?
A: We are completely by donation so, the items that we distribute ebbs and flows depending on what we have in stock at the time of your appointment.
Q: Where do you get your food?
A: We get our food from a variety of sources such as the TEFAP (Temporary Emergency Food Assistance Program), partner organizations such as Palm Beach County Food Bank Farm Share and Cros Ministries, corporations such as Bimbo and Frito Lay, local Produce/Farms such as Oceanside Produce, Hyperlocal Farms and Palm Beach Pineapples and from individual donors like you!

A: Unfortunately, due to service demand and a small staff, we are currently unable to drop off food.
